Hogwarts changes everyone who walks within its walls, they say. The castle may have met its match, however, in Violet Scafell and Merula Snyde, whose mutual hostility has only become further embedded over the years. After yet another flashpoint in their feud, the staff sentence them to the worst punishment they can imagine - each other's company. Forced to work together for the immediate future, with the festive magic of the Celestial Ball looming in the air, can the old walls pull off their greatest trick yet and settle Violet and Merula's differences?
