I sounded terrified. Diego's caring eyes searched ours before he turned and ran into his green aura, disappearing back. The entire room was silent. I could hear my own heartbeat hammering in my chest. Bruno still held the little girl to us. She hadn't said a word. Her tear streaked face stared down at the floor. I swallowed, opening the folded piece of paper. 'He's coming for her. Keep her safe for now. Her name is Chaina.' It was signed in mine and Bruno's names. My hands shook reading the words.
