Looks like the store owner was yelling and threatening to call the cops on the boy for trying to steal some food. How does intervening in the situation change her life? Is it a good change or a bad one? She doesn't know, all she knows is that she doesn't regret it. (A/N: the 'love story' between reader and Sun/moon will take a while to develop.
