Chapter 1: Going Home

Ambassador Sabrina Devon has just concluded a difficult peace treaty on Meskath and is preparing to head home. But her departure is complicated by her estranged cousin Ford deciding to end his fugitive status so he can attend his friend's wedding to Sabrina's brother. After the wedding, she is assigned to a diplomatic conference with Ford in tow to prove he's harmless. But no one expects how dangerous their assignment will turn out to be-or what lengths one of them will have to go to save the other's life.
