Dabi gives Hawks a task. A task to 'gain his trust'. As if Hawks didn't do enough already but he's in no position to refuse, especially if this is what can get him into the League. Little did Dabi know, this task is what is going to lead to his heartbreak and the downfall of his relationship with the winged hero.
