Prolouge

I sat in the break room eating my lunch. Alone. Jerry wasn't here today. As I take another bite of my sandwich a figure slips into the chair in front of me. I avoid looking up.
"Hey." I knew automatically it wasn't Penny. This was a guy. "Hello? Is anyone in there?" He laughs.
I nod my head slowly.
We sit in an awkward silence for a while. I steal glances at him as I bite into my sandwich. He's cute. But I can't fall for another band guy. My heart couldn't take the pain of another break up.
I just keep eating my sandwich. We still sit in the awkward silence.
"Hey you're really quiet. That's cool. Quiet people are cool. You're cool." He says awkwardly.
I smile a little, I think I might have a friend here.
