Yuki was just attempting to live as normally as possible. The outer walls are breached early one morning, forcing Yuki to learn to control being a werewolf fast while also finding out secrets along the way. While he wants the typical lifestyle, he wouldn't want to trade the events he has (and will) go through for anything else.
