Life is a supernatural entity with a penchant for creating stories using her uncle's old typewriter. For centuries, she's kept it with her, preferring to use it even as science and technology provided humanity newer, more efficient alternatives. The only trouble is, as of recently, she discovered it had developed an odd, little issue with its keys-- they began tapping themselves and writing on their own! Concerned, she sends it to be fixed by a local shop owned by a human girl, Penny Sanchez.

Now, this wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't for the teensy weensy little fact that everything the typewriter writes comes to life. And Penny Sanchez? Well, she hasn't contacted Life in over a month...
