Description
Kasey Adams was a 17-year-old girl full of life and joy who was a year way from graduating high school. Nothing could have put her down. She had a mom and dad who adored her, a 9-year-old sister who looked up to her, and many friends who she spent multiple nights a week hanging with at the local diner. She had her mind set on going to college to get her degree that would allow her to work with kids who are autistic like her sister. The weekend before school started, Kasey and her friends decided to celebrate their start of senior year by going to her friends' family cabin a few minutes away. When Kasey had a "strongest hug" contest with her little sister and said good-bye to her parents, she didn't realize that this would be the last time she ever saw them. A year later, with her parents and sister dead and a nasty reminder upon her arm, Kasey is attempting to move on for the first time since the fire. Now all alone, she is a quiet, less social version of herself, but opinionated when she needs to be. After the accident that destroyed her mind, body, and soul, Kasey is determined to start college, get her degree, and move away from the town that holds her darkest memory.
