Synopsis Twenty something, La La-Beth Scott, moves from Boston to Dallas, TX with her blind, blue- eyed, Great Dane, Lyle (who’s keeping a secret from the world and a separate secret from La La), after the deaths of both her parents. She’s looking to make a change in her life and takes a job at the Lone Star Report Newspaper. There, she meets the owner and Editor in Chief, ladies man Arch Donner, perky Office Manager Kat and cute male colleague Matt Collins. Prior to moving to Dallas, La La believes the only family she has left, is her two hundred pound Great Dane. Until she meets Merriwether Donner, mother to Arch Donner and learns that her father Howard, had his secrets, among them his sister, Merriwether. La La is now related to one of the richest and most influential families in Texas. Going to work late one evening, La La and Lyle discover the body of a dead woman. And, Arch Donner, is suspect number one, in the brutal slaying. Following her gut instinct, La La starts an investigation of her own, to prove that her newly found cousin, is not the murderer. Her investigation takes her into a world of Gentleman's clubs, human trafficking, high society scandal, more murder and myth.
