Hiraeth: deep longing for something, especially one's home. Home for some people is a place. For some people, home might be a person. To an army officer, it could be the waiting embrace of his loved one. What is his home? Is it her loving gaze that makes his heart skip a beat each time, without fail? The faint flowery scent surrounding her, that makes him light headed? Her lovely smiles that warm his heart everytime, the same way it did the first time he saw her? What is her home? Is it his strong embrace that makes her feel the most secure? His melodious laugh that wipes off every other thought running through her mind? His sweet little kisses and whispers that make her feel like the most precious thing in the world? This is the story of how Vijay and Mithra became eachother's home despite all the odds and their longing for eachother when they're thousands of miles apart. Author's note: I have absolutely no knowledge about military. I've diligently researched the ranks and terms I'd be using in this story, for it to make some sense. I apologise if they seem absurd.
