Andrew finds himself in the corner of a gay bar on a Thursday night, desperate to find himself after years of ignoring the way his stomach filled with butterflies when John Hurt came across his television screen. He's one Brittany Spears song away from giving up and going home when Elio slides into the barstool next to him. Elio is an LGBT social worker who hasn't had a day off in 2 weeks and really needs a break from the stuffiness of the courtroom. He needs a buzz, a shower, and a long ass nap. But then he spots Andrew, and his priorities change. OR... Elio's character came from the depths of my very own imagination, inspired by my experiences as a Slavic Jewish, transgender man in a world that isn't so kind to people like me.
