after Jeff's mother Renee passes away in a weird accident, his father Chase and him move to Ludlow to rebuild their lives, Jeff gets bullied at his new school by Clyde and some of his other friends. he meets another outsider like him named Drew who hates his step-father, Gus. 1 day, Gus kills Drews dog, Zowie. Jeff and Drew decide to bury Zowie in ancient Indian burial grounds to bring him back to life. but sometimes, dead is better.
