She's come to terms with the fact that in order to survive, she needs to put aside personal comfort and her old childhood dreams and roll with the punches the rough California city has in store for her. Stephanie wakes up one day, with an odd feeling; a sickness of sorts. she feels terrible, in a state of constant hunger, aggravation, and heightened senses. Imagine her surprise when she discovers that not only is she ill, but she happens to be host for a "parasitic" alien symbiote. While she struggles to live with this new organism, she discovers that her little friend isn't the only one of her kind on Earth, and that the threat of Los Angeles,' streets has increased exponentially.
