Description

According to them, home is not always the shelter. Home can be a person, too. However, as for me, home is the chaos―the deafening noises, blinding lights, and party people. It's something that makes me live and survive. However, there's this one time that someone had tamed the howling waves. The ocean calmed, as if a tsunami hadn't occurred. During that time, my innocence and confusion swallowed me. Why would you appear before me? What's in me that drove you to hold on to me? I am no bird trapped in a birdcage but you freed me. And eventually, from being nobody, I became somebody. You made me a princess and your penthouse as the castle. And I had you, as my prince. Nevertheless, as they've said, all things have their own expiration. The relationship we had is a food that contains an expiration date. Now, it has reached its end, and I can only find it, inside the trash can where the garbage subsists. Everything is nowhere to be found. Including you, and the feelings that meant for me. So, after leaving me there in great misery, I couldn't do anything but remorse. I'm breathing with so many limitations. Therefore, how can you know how much devastation you caused? When I only have my phone and email application with me? When I can only write drafts of letters, addressed to you? Genre: Epistolary Poems © 2022 by maxlilies (Kylie Anne Gida)
