After witnessing the council and the creation of the Fellowship of The One Ring, she vows to help Frodo destroy the very thing that holds the world at stake. Throughout her journey she meets Eomer, a man from Rohan who is Third Marshal of the Riddermark and nephew to King Theoden. They become curious about each other, and start to see each other in secrecy, aware of what others would think of an Elf and a Man in a romantic affair.
