Chapter 1

Avery was a teenager. Not your typical 18-year-old girl. The complete opposite. She was not born the way a normal kid would be born. She was lied to all her life about who she was. She tried everything to beg her mom to let her discover what she truly was. This prompted her to escape her protected world and discover the Midnighters. People she could rely on. A boy called Josh challenges her to prove to herself that she really is a Midnighter. Upon the fight that they had, Avery discovered that her mother was a Midnighter and that she was part of a family that was one of the most important ones in Midnighter history. Through all this, she remained calm going in steps that will lead her to the truth.
