Anya Van Fahey, the daughter of Jesper Fahey and Wylan Van Eck, is tasked with protecting the Princess of Ravka, Liliyana Nazyalensky. Sick with desire to prove her worthiness to join the exclusive gang The Dregs, Anya travels to Ravka to attend their summer fete.
