I began scanning through the draws and throwing papers all around the room. All this mess just to find one book. She cherished this book more than ever. She never let anyone know where she hid it. The room was so ransacked. As I was throwing her clothes out of the closet, I found a secret compartment in the ground. I opened the heavy wooden cover and finally saw a black note book, decorated in red roses. "Bingo," I said to myself and sighed in victory, but there was one problem. The dairy had a lock. I sighed frustratingly and took the book outside with me. I placed the lock on a rock and took a stone to break the lock open. When I found my victory again, I placed the dairy into my hands and ran back upstairs to investigate. _____________________ It had been 10 minutes and I still hadn't found what I wanted, but then, I flipped to a particular page. June 13th 1997 "Dear Diary," I read aloud. I continued to read but when I saw what I needed to see, my world stopped spinning. It felt like a stone was thrown over my shoulders.
