Iona, the twin world of Eos. Torn asunder by a cataclysmic event, only two survived. King Fellux Naxan Valtreus and his daughter, Makina Hexxus Valtreus, fled to Eos and found sanctuary. As the last survivors who carry the blood of the mighty dragon Valtreus, they vow to locate the six elemental serpents who crash-landed on Eos after the destruction of Iona.

Makina, the princess of an annihilated world, finds herself a new home courtesy of Regis Lucis Caelum, a close friend of her father's. Living alongside the royal family, she becomes close friends with Noctis and learns the truth about their entwining destinies. However, will she accept what has been wrought by the gods or forge her own path?
