Happiness is pointless to find, especially because everything you touch becomes tainted with your rotting fate. Then there is also the fact that you don't really deserve happiness, not after what you did, not after what any of us did. Happiness is for the good people in society, the normal ones that fake being fine.

Esme has had her share of heartbreak and loss, some of which she has no doubt she caused. So, she stopped searching for happiness long before she even understood the meaning of it. Not just happiness, but she's pretty much given up on everything including living. Now she has two goals, both are the same. Get through the day. Get through the night.

That all ended the night her roommate dragged her out of the house for some fun, and she found two new problems, two new goals. That night Esme ended up on her knees learning a lesson she had no intention of learning.

We all know that life is cruel and fucken mockery, but on her knees, she learned how much that's true.

On her knees, she meets two men who thought happiness was the ultimate joke. They laughed at it; bent over, tears in their eyes, and can't breathe anymore laughed at it. These two played their games and made their jokes, until one night those jokes stopped being funny and the games were no longer just games.

That night, a whole new joke came to them. It's smirk, cruel and unforgiving. It's laughter mocking them and dragging them into a deadly game called fate's plans.

All three of them ended up in the same room by some twisted event that fate started. One broken woman on her knees. One soulless man holding the gun. And a second man with an empty smirk controlling nothing.

Now what? Now they play fate's games.
