I am 15 now, and I'm not stupid enough to dream about ridiculous fantasies like a life in which I don't fear death every day. There's not a lot of us left, because the Draklings come every few years to pick up more of us. Draklings are known to have no hearts, they take whatever they wish, with no regret or resentment. They are mindless creatures who destroyed humanity. I cannot hide - they track how many of us there are. I can only dread the coming day and wish I had never been born.
