Titans, genetically-made, humanoid, shapeshifting creatures created by the military with one purpose. To devour humans. For a century, humanity lived protected from these beings inside the three walls, that is until a new breed of intelligent, more agressive titans appeared, forcing humanity to the brink of extinction. Humanity had no choice but to retreat into the inner walls. Many accepted their imminent death as fodder for their titans, but not the Rebels.
