August , 2021. It's the first day of school and the ending of summer break. Everyone is off of virtual, now everyone wants to be around ones they haven't seen over the summer: Amory, 15 year old African American girl, Edgar lover & the famous black outfit + baggy jeans wearer; closet friends Layla and Jorja, one a infatuated girl, the other a nonchalant ex-volleyball player; and Rory, Hispanic 16 year old boy, hood Edgar, that saggs his pants who Amoey has fallen head over hills in love for. Together, the friends find ways to encourage this love Amory has for Rory to get the two different styled teens together-especially as the two have many encounters.
