Every year on Charlotte's birthday, her mother takes a picture of her to send to her father that she's never met before. He was a man with dangerous connections so they had to live apart for Charlotte to be safe. But on Charlotte's fifteenth birthday things change. She moves all the way from London to Manhattan with her mom. Charlotte gets to make new friends but also new enemies.
