Chapter One: Wolf

I thought the night I turned into a wolf was the worst night of my life, but that was before my husband was murdered. Nothing I had ever been through before hurt me like that.

My wolf wanted revenge. So did I, though I had no idea where to start. And with a cold trail and no where else to go, I eventually moved to a new town to start a new life.

That's where I met Ansel.

He was big and strong and kind. But my wolf was uneasy around him, which put me on edge. Could I trust him? Or did my wolf know something about him that I didn't?
