Alexandra Hamilton has had it rough. First her father left, then her mother and her cousin died, then the hurricane came and took the lives of the few friends she had. Everyone she has known has left her and now she is alone. Sent to America by her now dead cousin, 12 year old Alexandra struggles to find her place in this new and unfamiliar country. Will she finally find a family she can call her own?
