Prologue

Faith, a twelve year old daughter of an engineer, is automatically volunteered to be one of the "lucky people" that get to test out the newest virtual reality system, one that her father had helped to design. She barely gets out alive, and most of the people inside with her aren't so lucky. Her father and his co-workers are sentenced to death in prison for the murder of all the victims of the machine. Twelve years later, the machine is mysteriously uncovered, and Faith discovers she's one of the few people chosen to participate in its new grand opening. Will she make it out alive?
