When seventeen year old Odessa Santos returns to the Philippines for the summer, she expects she will be spending her days working on her tan and perfectly curating her Instagram profile with #summer worthy photos. Upon arriving in Acuña, her mother's hometown, complete with rice paddies and caribou, her vision for the ultimate summer getaway is crushed. Not everyone welcomes her, and the townspeople seem to know more than they're letting on... While locals caution her away from what they dub to be an Enchanted Forest, Odessa finds herself inexplicably drawn to it. Called to it. Bewitched by its lure, Odessa finds herself transported to the fairy realm, teeming with mythical creatures from provincial lore. To return, she must embark on an adventure, traversing valleys, rivers, and mountains. With the help of local guide Maya, and the cast of curious beings she meets along the way, Odessa might just make it back. But will she want to?
