Curator's Note

Some diamonds slip through the net. Some brilliant books are overlooked at first. Think "Harry Potter" and The Great Gatsby". Even Shakespeare was dismissed as an "upstart crow" in the beginning.

So here, in one directory, are the fragments of gold that slipped through the fingers of the Wattys Shortlisters. Different, daring, or just missed through dumb luck - scroll through and find yourself a gem.
