If something shines too bright maybe it's not shiny at all. If you see some who always smiles something is wrong. Why couldn't they see that? Why couldn't anyone see that! I am made of honey and glass I am born with a smile Others think are meant to last But what people seem to often forget Is that glass can shatter at the drop of a hat One of them has been dealing with abuse his whole life. How could he possibly know that taking after his mother was wrong? How could he know that the hitting was wrong? Day after day, it's always the same My friends are in a far off space While I'm stuck on earth It's the same, day after day The other is depressed. How could he not be? His father was murdered his childhood best friend became a bully. Their friendship became toxic, abusive even. I put on a smile even when it hurts And when it falls No one sees For on one cares what goes on inside of me "Remember to always be grateful"
