Hell. That's what his first year of high school was like. Not because he couldn't make friends, or didn't get the classes he wanted. No. It all started when a few upperclassmen outed him to the school and thought it'd be funny to see how far they could push the mind of a kid who was just starting to figure himself out. It took him two years to come back, but with a helping hand from the new football coach, his dad, Elijah Mulligan was determined to have a good senior year. Maybe make some friends. Maybe get a boyfriend, though after his last relationship, he had little hope for that. But even so, as he finds himself warming up to a group of football players his age, one especially seeming to take a liking to him, he'll come to find that the amazing friends he gains are there for a reason as his past comes to try and drag him down to a deep pit he barely managed to escape once before. "It will be a good year." He tells himself, and he sure hopes it will. Because he had no idea what he'd do if it wasn't. *** I started writing this story in my sophomore year of high school, but the birth of these characters began in freshman year. Now that I'm a senior I want to share at least one of the many stories my mind has created before I'm off to college, where I plan to start my path of becoming a concept designer and likely won't have time to write as much. I don't deem myself a "good writer", there's stuff in here I didn't write correctly and I definetly made mistakes. I've seen and read so many phenomenal stories here that I have taken inspiration from and far exceed my current writing skills. (Heavily inspired by a certain webcomic/netflix series for any fans out there). Regardless, I hope whoever reads this story will be able to see past my poor grammar and unsure use of certain complex words, and find the story that I've been carrying in my head for almost five years now something to remember, and enjoy.
