A New Life

Alisha grew up in a small town where she was homeschooled. She was unaware of racism until she moved to California when she was 12. Her mom put her in public school and she discovered the horrible reality of life that she had never been introduced to; bullying and fighting all because of skin color. As the story continues, Alisha realizes that something needs to be done about racism at her school. She tries to form a group of friends to discuss issues—without them knowing. Will people listen to her? Will she ever be accepted again?
