Sawamura Eijun was only 3 when he got taken from his household, with little to nothing memory about his family he was raised with little knowledge of his origins. It's not like it's that important right? He was nothing but a cold assassin who kills those who get in the way of the general's path. At age 18 he was introduced to something called 'freedom' Eijun learned how to live a life in the midst of the people he killed for, it felt surreal to him and he thought that living like this might not be that bad. Well he just got a reality check that he's not off the hook yet.
