Helion Spell-Cleaver was the sun personified. Esther was the daughter of the Lady of the Autumn Court's late older sister.

Esther had been trapped for hundreds of years in the Autumn Court. A secret to everyone while she lived tortured by Beron and his men for many years. Upon the family visiting another court for a solstice party Esther escapes and runs to the Day Court where Helion offers her sanctuary.
