In response the American union allied its self with the Russian Commonwealth whic h was formed when it revolted against the russian government for its corruption and incompetence against the European Federation. The Russian and American government made a secret military base in the arctic to test classified tech far from the looming eyes of china. The base was doing what it usually does, testing and making new tech, for both governments to use, until a massive gate was reported nearby.
