Draft (World-building/Characters)

The first thing Avery sees is not a bright light at the end of a tunnel, or infinite darkness, or the blinding ceiling light of a stuffy hospital room. Instead, she wakes up to find herself given another chance at life, and in a world where she could only conjure in her wildest dreams.

Avery doubts she would survive since the first thing she sees are hooded, manic faces and blood.
