Shannon Klein Brooks is not your ordinary queen bee nor your biggest nerd. She is not the most relevant person in their classroom, let alone the entire school population. She is not the most sociable person that ever existed in this planet and she won't even deny that. Her social growth since freshman has been stagnant... and she is willing to add some current in her oh-so-stagnant social life.

What will happen in her last year in high school as she struggles to progress? Will she succeed in her attempt to be better? Will she be able to find romance in the midst of her attempts to be better despite her strong belief that romance might just be an illusion for her?
