The History of the Valkyries

Sigrun is a thrall in King Ragnar's court. She is loyal, ambitious, and outspoken, which is dangerous for a thrall to be. She longs to be free to persure her dreams of being a shield-maiden. Although her destiny has been written that she would marry one of the Sons of Ragnar, she dares to define all the odds against her. Sigrun struggles to find her own identity, her place among her fellow Viking brothers and sisters, and the respect of the sons of Ragnar.
