Vartolu Sadettin is the illegitimate son of the Koçovalı family. He was exiled from place to place all his life. He lost his mother when he was a young child and he grew up thinking that his father would find him someday. He returned to Çukur, where he spent part of his childhood, for revenge.

Hazal Deniz is the daughter of Kaan Deniz, the leader of the Bronze Dragons. Hazal is a very independent young girl and hates following orders. She is a very smart and funny girl, she is also resourceful and kind to everyone. When she meets Vartolu, there is nothing that can keep them apart. Their strong relationship has got them through hard situations.
