Carrie Thompson is your typical teenager but unlike most teens she's home schooled and lives on a ranch named The Roses Thorn, with her uncle John. She loves it there and loves being with her beautiful horse Dex who's always there for her. Soon she finds out that her uncle might lose the ranch and against his best wishes joins the local horse races.

Winning she feels the thrill of the race and continues racing even after she saves the ranch. Still not all is at an ease when expert racer Steven Lebrun enters the picture. Soon he begins knocking her down in the races and making her racing life a living hell until Mathew Baston Carrie's child hood friend shows up from city to cheer her on but can she resist Mathew or not...
