Lee Ji-ah, or, her English name, Lily, has always been in debt. When she turned 16, she had to move from Korea to England to take care of her ill mum. But when her mum dies, it's too painful to stay there. So, at 19, she moves back to Korea, using up all her money making her unable to pay for important things.

But when a man comes up to her asking if she wants to play a game that could win money, Lily is all for it, not really knowing the sacrifices it will take.
