Heather Ross is a powerful telepath and telekinetic. She just doesn't know of the potential she possesses. That is, until she meets Charles Xavier. She lives with him for 5 years until she is adopted by her aunt. 7 years later, Heather unexpectedly runs into Charles again. They join up with other mutants to prevent nuclear war. But that's not all of Heather's worries.
