episode one, part one

After a massive meteorite struck off the Australian coast, plunging most of the planet into a nuclear winter, colossal earthquakes fractured the world's infrastructure. Damaged biohazard facilities, shaken by the tremors, released deadly pathogens, adding to the growing list of threats faced by the survivors roaming the wastelands. Years have passed. Some cling to the dwindling hope of their leaders returning to save them. The rest of us see this desolate, hopeless, and vicious world for what it truly is: a wasteland with no promise of change.
