John watched the little boy do his work. "Life" was perfect right now, and Phillip was safe. Phillip stood up, showing John the paper. "I'm done!"

John smiled. "Awesome!"

"Hey.. John?"

"...Yeah?

Phillip bit his lip. "I- I've been meaning to ask you this for a long time but... who- and what- are you?"

I've seen lots of Hamilton AU's, where John Laurens is Phillip's guardian angel of some sort, and I kinda wanted to write one myself. There miiight be a little lams, I'm not sure.
