All he heard in the distance was the staccato of the sole of his boots rubbing against the sharp edges of the rocks used to fill the gaps between the train rails, the little pat sound the dog made with every step and the distant chanting of men.He turned off his flashlight. The red glow in the distance called out to him like an inner voice. He knew it was not going to turn out well , but he could only go forward. His heart was in his throat, feeling his heartbeat in his veins. He peeked over the platform 5 brown cloaked figures stood,each of whom were standing on a tip of the pentagram inscribed on the platform. In the middle laid a dead sheep, with tiny candles set on the circumference of the circle. A torso hung from the overhead information signboard by a rope, intestines dangling in mid air. All he needed was to get himself past the station and on his way. He wanted no trouble, he's been through enough. But the chanting stops and the candles burn out. He felt a breath on the exposed skin in the gap between his collar and helmet. A warm one. A cold hand landed on his shoulder. His gaze turns down as he spotted a pale hand, wrist disappearing into the darkness behind.And then he hears it. "Join us. Mark." Mark is just an ordinary 15 year old boy whose world gets turned upside down.
