"You looked as if you were going to cry."

A strong wind blew and his hair started to go wild.

"I'm okay, Xavier." His eyes were brought back to mine as he heard me say his name out loud. I could see his expression change right then and there. It was like he finally got what he wished for on his eleventh birthday. He shot a quick smile and lifted me up from the chair by my wrist.

I could feel the veins in my neck collide with the calluses on his palm. His index finger was on my jawline digging behind my ear while he gently cupped my face and ran both his thumbs across my lower lips, "Don't say my name like that ever again."
