Being the new kid in town is tough. Being the new kid when your old house burned down is tougher.

That's what Joey Halib is thinking when he moves to Mariner Grove after an unlucky lightning strike makes his childhood home a memory. As if making new friends isn't enough of a handful, there's the red rock that follows him everywhere and the strange abilities he displays.

When a nasty surprise shows up at a school event, Joey finds himself and his new friends initiated into a new world.
