"How strange we are before we die," Dazai Lamented, staring up at the stars with a distant look in his eyes. "How so?" His partner's question hung in the cold air between them. "Humans fear oblivion and what comes next, but once death comes calling, brushing along their fragile skin, there's an almost disbelief--an ignorance," He reached a gentle hand out to touch his companion's ivory skin with such care you'd think he were made of porcelain. "Why do you always speak like you're not?" The boy frowned at the foreign affection, but remained unmoved. "I wonder if it means anything that I'm convinced I'll have another tomorrow with you." Chuuya was irritated at being ignored and confused as usual by Dazai's strange way of thinking, "You will, idiot." Dazai didn't say another word that night, but that sad smile and faraway look in his eyes never left.
