"I don't know what I want, all I know is that I didn't want this," Jack shook his head. A loud clap of thunder shook the sky over head and the rain came down harder. Nael could only look at Jack, seeing the sadness and confusion in his eyes. There were so many things he wanted to confess but he held back knowing it was for the best. As a tear raced its way down Jack's cheek, he was thankful it was hidden by the rain. "I need time," he added, "I need time to figure out who I am..." Nael stood quiet for a moment, his green eyes looking over the other man's face. "Will you say something? Please?" Jack pleaded. Nael nodded his head, "if that's what you need, I can give you all the time in the world." ~~ Nowhere Valley is where the things that go bump in the night call home. Jack Nolan is a Law Guardian, charged with keeping the peace between the supernatural races. He's on the case of a wolf who has gone missing from a local pack. Along the way he meets a vampire who feels Jack is the reincarnation of his long lost love. As Jack searches for the truth, he forms an unlikely bond and struggles with his own truth. -Written from the perspective of the different characters.
